On 17th and 18th February 2025, IKM Beseri had the honor of hosting Dr. Rafal Pawletko, Vice President & Technical Director of Unitest Marine Simulator, for a collaboration visit aimed at enhancing maritime education and training.
The visit commenced with a technical briefing on the engine room simulator, focusing on its application and potential in maritime training. Further discussions were held on the integration and optimization of the engine room simulator for practical learning.
On the second day, a collaboration meeting took place between Unitest and IKM Beseri, emphasizing the enhancement of Professional Development Program (PDP) delivery and knowledge sharing in maritime education. Additionally, an industry talk was conducted for Diploma in Technology (Marine) students, where Dr. Rafal shared insights on current and future maritime industry technologies.
Key Outcomes of the Collaboration:
- Certified Centre – IKM Beseri recognized as a certified Unitest Marine Engine Room Simulator Centre.
- Instructor Upskilling – Enhancement of instructor competency in handling marine engine room simulators.
- Technology Transfer – Strengthened collaboration between Unitest and IKM Beseri through knowledge and technology exchange.
- Hybrid Learning – Introduction of hybrid learning opportunities for students with direct engagement from Unitest experts.
